An analogue artist in a digital world
Brandes is a UK-based singer-songwriter whose music blends poetic folk with spoken word and is rooted in folk and acoustic, and occasionally electric, indie-rock. His vocal style is raw and confessional, with pared-back arrangements of guitar, keyboard and strings providing a sensitive setting for his lyrics.
His first album, The Distance Between Dreams, was released to critical acclaim in 2025.

But in all of them, I try to find a point of connection with individual listeners which, I hope, helps them engage with their own thoughts and experiences.”
